Be sure to read all the board rules. They are basic and common sense, so please make sure you follow them. If there are any problems or you don't understand them, don't be afraid to contact the staff.
1. All posts are expected to be in "normal" English. That means no chat-speak or 1337-speech. Be sure to spellcheck, proofread and capitalize what should be capitalized before you post. We understand if you're not an expert at grammar, but please fix the grammar in your post to the best of your ability.
2. Be respectful to all. As a forum, you're bound to dislike someone, but please keep it to yourself so we won't have any drama or make up over PM. Fights on topics will be stopped quickly and the users involved will be warned depending on how serious it was. If you see someone misbehaving or going against the rules, do not be afraid to contact the friendly-staff.
3. Images may not be any larger than 800x800 pal in width/height. Signatures may not be wider than 500 pxl in width and 150 pxl in height.
4. Please do not hot-link images. You can use image-hosts such as photobucket, imageshack, tinypic… among many others.
5. Icons, avatars, signatures, posts, etc may not contain extreme gore. We do not tolerate pornography. If we see something like that, it will be taken down before we notify you and you will be warned/banned depending on the extremity of the offence.
6. Each user has 3 warnings in total, before the user is banned.
7. Wait for your character to be accepted before you post. If you go ahead and post before a staff member has looked over your bio and accepted it, your character will automatically get rejected and all posts linked to it deleted.
8. You cannot permanently injure/kill/physically restrain a character. You must have permission from the other character's owner before you do anything of that.
9. Absolutely no godmodding, power-play or manipulation is allowed. You can only post as your character, and you do have to give the other a chance to defend themselves and respond. Not everyone can win all the time, it doesn't happen in real life and not in role-play either.
10. No out of character, your characters must remain true to their description. Anything that seems deviated from what your description tells us, must be explained either in-character or in an OOC-note. You're allowed to make changes to your character-application, but nothing major as past, appearance etc.
11. Swearing is allowed, but don't go overboard with it. Adhere to Proboards +PG-13 rating.
Just as posts are expected to have good grammar, they are expected to be a reasonable length. A paragraph is the minimum requirement per post. A paragraph is generally 4-5 sentences, but it can be longer or shorter depending on the situation. Please note that 'It was sunny. There were clouds in the sky. The trees were green. Bob was happy. It was a nice day.' would not be counted as a paragraph - not to mention the utter lack of description and the vagueness.
One-liners are not permitted, and if used repeatedly will get you a warning. There is no maximum post limit; the more you give your Rp partner to work with, the better (but 10+ paragraphs may intimidate your partner - you're here to have fun, so you don't have to over-do it!)
