Increasing pressure for resources and rapidly increasing population caused the outbreak of World War III. In 2015, Tsunamis, Hurricanes and Earthquakes hit at different times throughout the year, all over the world. This resulted in a sudden shortage of resources. As oil supplies drained away and electricity prices sky-rocketed through the roof, governments struggled more and more to support their people. Food and Water became scarce and people began abandoning morals in favour of survival. Eventually the pressure on the governments took its toll, the overwhelming stress being places on alliances breaking them completely. The war started on a small scale, countries invading their neighbours and vice versa, but it was only a matter of time before the war escalated into WWIII. The war barely lasted three months before Russia decided to take drastic action.

Nuclear bombs were released, seemingly targeting China who were rumored to have nuclear weapons of their own. The rumors were soon proven true as the angered China fired Nuclear bombs right back at Russia. The use of nuclear weapons spread, America joining in the back and forth of nuclear bombs, devastating cities and ripping buildings apart into rubble. The radiation didn't take long to take affect, killing both animals and humans alike. Slowly, humans began dying, leaving barren and lifeless cities in their wake.

Only a few humans remained, mainly those in Europe, the least nuclear affected area. Europe had not been directly hit during the war, leaving it the safest and least radiation-filled place. This didn't mean that it was completely free of the worries of the war, though, it was still left with the odd effects of the nuclear radition, mutating animals and humans in odd ways.

Now, those left alive in Europe spend their days trying to survive and adapt to this new way of life. Some are happy to simply live however they can, while others desperately seek to re-create the society they once knew. In the mean-time they must live with the bickering, lack of resources, a broken city, the freaks created by the nuclear radiation and the tense atmosphere laced throughout the air. The current year is 2050.
